The EE or Ee depends on if you want him to be a red carrier or homozygous black. Ee is red carrier, EE is homozygous black.

If you want the genotype that will have the most foal color possibilities it'd would be: Ee/aa/nT/nRn Variations: Homozygous black (will always produce black or blue roan colored foals) is: EE/aa/nT/nRn Homozygous Tobiano (will always produce tobiano foals) is: + Ee/aa/TT/nRn (this horse will always produce a tobiano foal, with a chance of roan, as well as a chance of either black or red variation) + EE/aa/TT/nRn (this horse will always produce black tobiano horses, with a chance of roan depending on the other parent) Homozygous Roan (will always produce a roan foal) is: + Ee/aa/nT/RnRn (this horse could have red roan foals with a chance of tobiano in either black or red variation) + EE/aa/nT/RnRn (this horse will always have blue roan foals with a chance of tobiano) + Ee/aa/TT/RnRn (this horse will always have roan tobiano foals; in either black or red variations) + EE/aa/TT/RnRn (this horse will always have blue roan tobiano foals)
