Horse one is either a Dark Flaxen Chestnut or a Silver Black. Chestnuts do not have black points and Blacks can "bleach out" to almost look like bays however they do not have any "black points" on the face or legs (the coat is usually one uniform colour) In this case I would be leaning more towards a Silver Black given the sire and dams colours however this is your choice ^.^ Dark Flaxen Chestnut Silver (Dapple) BlackYou'll notice they look quite similar however the Flaxen Chestnut has a deep red in its coat, your horse has more of a bark brown colour going on which also makes me think it'd be better off being a Silver Black. Your call. Horse two is a sooty bay for sure. Chestnuts do NOT have black points, blacks don't even have black points the entire body is one uniform colour (black) and this horse does have black points on the face, legs and ears. What makes it a sooty bay is the black on its back and hindquarters, sort of like how a horse would look if you poured soot all over it. Right? This also makes sense given the sire and dam. Chestnuts x Blacks produce mostly Bays and then some Chestnuts. No blacks. So that we've narrowed it down to Chestnut and Bay and we apply the Black Points rule we can say that horse two is a sooty bay 100% I believe the only issue here is the mane and tail not being black which is another black point for bays. This could mean its a chestnut but chestnuts DO NOT have ANY black points. So you may have a brand new kind of coat on your hands or one I'm not thinking of. Sooty BayHope I was some help ^.^
