Back in March, I had seen a few posts on Facebook about people paying their respects to a lass who had tragically lost her life in a horse riding accident. I didn't know her as a friend but had admired her horses photos on here.
I was wondering if any of you thought it would be a nice idea to host a memorial show in honour of Blackrose Equestrian?
Stepshi replied in the shout box that we could have a lot of people judging different events? For example, I could do a western halter show and judge that, then Stepshi could judge a dressage show etc etc. If any of you were close with Ashleigh I believe her name was (apologies and correct me if I'm wrong) who have any suggestions as to what types of shows you think she would have loved etc then feel free to comment below.
I hope this is ok to post and Cleo or other admin, if not then feel free to delete.

I think it would be fun to do a big show for her! Her entries in my three day events and other shows were always lovely! I'd be happy to judge a three day event section of the show  |

Awesome, sounds good. 3 Day Event Judged by Stepshieq. If you Stepshieq could type up the show rules etc, then copy and paste to me via message and I can add to the overall show (No date set yet so you've got plenty time for now) Dressage show judged by aurorasparks. I think that'd be a great idea. I've never hosted a traditional show and I don't have any experience judging them, but if someone would be willing to give me the ropes I wouldn't mind hosting one of the conformation shows. |

I think that'd be a great idea. I've never hosted a traditional show and I don't have any experience judging them, but if someone would be willing to give me the ropes I wouldn't mind hosting one of the conformation shows. That's awesome thanks Jacqueline. I just look up the real shows rules online to be honest and then I try to put up my own spin on them too like colourful western gear matching halters etc. Have a think about what type of show you'd like to host and I'll pop your name down Oh and have a quick read of the creating a show rules, gives you a heads up about maximum of points allowed to be given etc. |

I think it is a great idea. Personally, I didn't know her but it is always good to remember someone and her entries were amazing.
I would not mind being placed down to do a fun show. I make it biker themed and judge it.

I'm just thinking, what do you all think about either I set up one show with all our judges shows posted in the one post, or do you think that would be too long for entrants to sift through?
Would you who are hosting/judging shows, prefer to put up the shows individually at a specific date and the rest of us too but name it The Blackrose Equestrian SJ Memorial Show, The Blackrose Equestrian Dressage Memorial Show etc etc? I am happy to provide prize money for each event.

Maybe an idea to have like two weeks in which all shows run. That way people can have more than one horse enter in different shows and people have a longer period to get all entries done. As for the name. I would think to make it like you said The Black Rose Equestrian .... show. As for the results. One thread for all results posted on the specific date your show should be judged on. Just my two cents put in. Whatever you decide I be ok with it.
